The Galaxy Multi Rides mission has always been to strive to offer the best quality product at the most competitive price. We plan to continue being the #1 provider of mechanical bulls and multi rides systems in the world for years to come!
Manufacturing
In 1989 while providing the bull and surf ride as entertainment at a trade show, interest was piqued for the machine. Orders were placed, and manufacturing started!
The ride soon evolved. New attachments were developed and the motion base was upgraded from hydraulic to electric. Many other rides soon followed. Some specifically designed for individual clients, others for large blue-chip companies.
In 1993, automatic pre-set programs and LED clocks were added to the control console and flashing eyes to the bull body. In 1999, the Automatic Stop Switch (ASS) was added, and in 2007, the Soft Foam Safety head was invented. We now offer over 56 ride attachments that are available to use with the motion base.

Our History
In 1985, Robin Whincup started a rental company hiring out bouncy castles for children and adults. As the company grew, he invested in a Gillies Bull from the USA. The bull made good money as there wasn’t many bulls in the UK in the 1980’s; the main drawback, however, was it took 6 men to take it out and two hours to set up & break down! Learn more
Innovation
We continue to innovate and develop some of the best entertainment rides in the world. We have made over 60 different ride attachments, developed numerous custom promotional rides and now launched the Action Games range. We are the best at what we do, but we don’t stop there: we strive to be better every year.
Our Competition
Some of our competitors may claim to be the leaders in the manufacture of the mechanical bulls, but ‘leaders’ do not copy other companies products. We are a family company that has built its reputation of quality, customer service and innovation. Our multi rides are built to last! That’s why we manufacture over 90% of the product in house. We have our main factory in Port Charlotte, Florida (US), and we still continue to manufacture in Harrogate, North Yorkshire (England), where it all began.
Meet the Family
Robin Whincup | Founder – Innovator
Robin is the original founder of the company and innovator of the Galaxy Multi Ride system. His experience in the amusement industry spans 34 years, from operating a party rental business to running Family Entertainment Centers to manufacturing some of the best earning amusement products in the industry. His knowledge is unrivaled.
Mike Whincup | Creative Genius
As a young boy, Mike worked in the family business helping out on weekends and school holidays. He gained his design degree at Manchester University and joined the family business full time in 2006. His creative flair and eye for detail has resulted in the invention of some of the best selling attractions in the industry.
Kate Whincup | Heart & Soul of the Company
Kate has supported the family business in many roles throughout the years. In the early days, she managed to juggle her time as a full-time RGN, attend major events operating amusement attractions and bring up a family of five kids. Today she stills supports the company in any way she can.
