Brooks Rodeo Shoe
Brooks was founded in 1914 in Seattle, Washington, and has grown into one of the largest most recognizable names in running across the globe.
As part of a national tour, Brooks contacted us to see about the possibility of creating a custom promotional ride: a replica of one of their new shoes. The concept was to create “Run Happy Island”. A promotional area where runners could become more familiar with Brooks’s products and to win freebies for themselves.
The main entertainment attraction was a fully branded rodeo shoe ride, where participants would see how long they could last riding the giant replica of the shoe.
The process began with Brooks sending us sample shoes for us to sculpt. Taking a regular size running shoe and super-sizing it was quite a challenge, a challenge we met, recreating the mesh detail and very specific logo placement on the shoe.
It wasn’t just the shoe that was custom made. The safety inflatable was 100% digitally printed with brand colors and slogans including “Feel the Ride”, which was the promotional slogan for the tour.
