The Perfect Day at CocoCay is a private vacation destination that is for guests of Royal Caribbean only. Located in the Bahamas, Perfect Day at CocoCay features beaches, a wave pool, water slides, a balloon ride, zip line, water slides and overwater cabanas.
There are 21 water slides in all, including the tallest water slide in North America, called Daredevil’s Peak. The wave pool is also the largest in the Caribbean. Cruise ship passengers stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay for stays that can last a weekend or longer. Most of the island’s amenities are free for ship passengers.
It’s both beautiful and fun. It also adheres to the same safety standards used by Galaxy Multi Rides with its entertainment, as Royal Caribbean is also a member of the IAAPA.
What Is the IAAPA?
For those outside of the entertainment industry, it’s likely you are asking, “What is IAAPA?” It’s an extremely important organization for those in the amusement park and entertainment industries. The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) is the largest international trade association for amusement facilities around the world.
The IAAPA was founded in 1918. The association represents 5,300 members from 100 countries. The IAAPA promotes safety, efficiency, marketing, profitability and high professional standards in the amusement industry.
Knowing that a company is an IAAPA member gives you the peace of mind of knowing that their rides and entertainment have been built to the very exacting IAAPA standards. That goes for guests at Perfect Day at CocoCay as well as rides designed by Galaxy Multi Rides.
Why Is The IAAPA So Important?
Becoming an IAAPA member is important for those in the entertainment and amusement park industry, no matter if they run a big attraction like Perfect Day at CocoCay or a smaller InflataPark in their city.
The annual IAAPA convention, which is being held in Orlando this year in November, is a must-see event that can connect you with people from around the world who work in the global attractions business.
Membership in the IAAPA demonstrates that a company is committed to meeting the highest standards for safety and training in the amusement park and entertainment industry. Members include theme parks, water parks, entertainment centers, museums, science centers, zoos, aquariums, cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean and commercial inflatables manufacturers such as Galaxy Multi Rides.
IAAPA Expo in Orlando
Galaxy Multi Rides (Booth #5172), Royal Caribbean and thousands of other companies will be in Orlando this month for the IAAPA Expo. It’s considered the biggest annual event for those in the global attractions industry. The conference runs from Nov. 18-21, while the trade show runs from Nov. 19-22.
Both the conference and trade show feature exhibits that showcase some of the latest entertainment options from ride creators around the world. It is not only a vital meeting for the industry, it’s also just a lot of fun.
No matter what type of attraction you run or the size of your operation, there is something at the exhibit for everyone. The ideas you get and the connections you make can help your business stand out from the competition. It also puts you in very good company with some of the best businesses and attractions in the world – including Royal Caribbean and Perfect Day at CocoCay.
